RE: MY BAND CONCERT HAD COME TO AN END!Last Saturday (27th december) , it was our actual day band concert! The concert went very smoothly and we were very proud of ourselves because we succeeded our 1 st concert!!! Oh, how I wish we could have another one...
I got to play the first half songs and the acting of drama during the concert. The audience thought that the drama was the best. Hmm... the drama was indeed a good one, even our instructor said so. The hall was packed with approximately 800 audiences while 82 are vacant. Our teacher said that this concert will be near to full house and we were delighted.
THAT DAY...
I reached school at 10.00am and I was waiting my senior for the instructions of doing the props, nevertheless, she had not arrived yet. Untill about 10.30am, she finally reached the music room.
At about 11.30pm, we went to take our instruments and helped to carry the percussion instruments down to the bus bay. We left the school at about 12.30pm by excursion bus.
The ride to Singapore conference hall was approximately 1 hour. We had been chatting and listening to music while we were on our way to our destination.
After we reached our destination, we carried the instruments down and settled down before starting our rehearsal at about 2.20pm. We started playing the second half music while the sec 1
s were preparing for their drama. During the late-afternoon, compassvale secondary were playing their repertoires for the "Guest band moment" later at the concert.
It was 6pm. The whole band was busy changing the band uniform before we had our express dinner at the foyer. Then, Roy called. He was asking for the way to the hall. I had a rude shock as he was one of the early bird!!! He was there at around 6.50pm when the concert would only begin at 7.30pm.
Soon, the second bell rang before our actual concert really start! We walked to the stage while the audience gave us a thunderous applause. The moment the guest of honour went into the hall, we immediately played our first song to the audience. Out of the blue, my hand had a muscle cramp!!! My left was paralysed and I can't move my hand until I forced to move my whole hand. I heaved a sigh of relief.
Then it was Compassvale's turn to play their songs while the people who were involved in the drama were busy changing into their costumes.
Time passes like a bat out of hell. It was 2nd half. The drama was involved while acting we tried to calm ourselves down. After the Love scene, everyone were so pleased with the performance put up by the graduates.
After that...
- BAND PLAYING "Japanese Graffiti 4, 6, 4" -
and then...
- Moon Represents by my heart -
AND..
"A CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL!!!!!"
During this song some of the actors and actresses went out to the hall to give sweets! Zi Xi of 2E4 next year was the SANTA CLAUS!!! He was wearing the costume with a beard at his mouth. He looked funny and everybody find this interesting.
After the christmas song, many people began to shout "ENCORE!!!" meaning they want the band to play another additional song. So our band played "ABBA GOLD".
Many people sang the song along while my friends and I danced for the enjoyment.
At about 10.25, we left SCH.
Guess what I reached home?
