RE: SATURDAY'S LIFE

Hello people! For today's post, I nothing much to say...

Basically, if you guys are unaware of this, today's event is "60 Earth Hour".

"60 earth hour" is organised in the first place to actually save the Earth. The whole world would switch off all their lights at 8.30pm - 9.30pm which takes 1 hour. At this current moment, some people would light up candles and do other stuffs. Nonetheless, not all people are so concerned about saving the Earth. I also yet to know the reason. To me, I only switch some lights off which are not essential but if you asked me to switch off all lights, my parents would definitely not agree with that.

Well, I have nothing much to do for today. But, I still got homeworks to do!

RE: MY LIFE STORY

Hey guys! Holidays are over. Oh, firstly I would like to apologise for not blogging about 1 week because of some reasons.

Today, I had bowling with Roy just now. Presumably, I had finally scored beyond his current record! As a result, he was not very happy after I won this time round. He exclaimed that I rolled the ball straight to the pins (beginner way) and he spinned the ball towards the pins (expert way) and told me that the beginner way was much more easier to strike than the expert one.

My answer was serve him right, who asked him to use the expert way when he was not even good at all? :p (joking lah, Roy).

At the end of the game, we went home immediately as it was nearly 5.15pm which was considered late.

SYF is only 14 days left!!!! wow!! Is quite close and I'm so excited but apparently slightly nervous as this is my very first time participating a competition in band. As usual, there would be band practice tomorrow and hope it would be a magnificent rehearsal that Mr Er would be tremendously suprised.

Hehe, before I end my post, here is a short video of how he played just now and what he meant by expert way of playing. At the same time, learn how to spin the ball by watching.

RE: SPORT'S DAY '09 & BAND PRACTICE

Yesterday was a passable day.

There were good and atrocious things about this particular day.

SPORT'S DAY

It was fun but exhausting. I was helping out for councilors and I was the so called in-charge-of "traffic light". I was signalling Mr Loy the "red" and "green light" to let him know whether the timers were ready. LOL.. Mr Sng was very "presumptuous" in a way. (hope he is not angry with this) At the last 100m (4 x 100m relay), Mr Sng was running backwards deliberately. You can notice that he was running utterly slow. In no time, Mr Ang, who had the same Christian name as me, raced unbelievably fast when he saw Mr Sng "slacking". At last, Mr Sng hurried to the finishing line and he won the race again! He won two races.

BAND PRACTICE

I was staying back after our sport's day at school. Then, Darrel and Jasmine arrived. They played a 'scary song' and it was indeed scary.

Nevertheless, it wasn't a happy moment after we played our music. Mr Er was exacerbated with our "inactive" response. We were not replying him when he asked questions. As a result, he left the AVA room with a farewell. Then, we had a talk by our major. I dun think is funny at this point of time. I can see that qiu jin looked very upset and was enduring her tears from dripping. Wah.. that feeling was horrendous, I tell you.. Fortunately, he came back again. And we had learnt our lesson. We started to answer his questions. AND, we took 2 hours to be warmed up and we played better. He said, "BUT, still cannot sound like gold band for our "merry widow".

Must work hard now! 3 more weeks I think... to our SYF... Shall end my post here.

RE: ABOUT BAND & RECENT LIFE

Yesterday, it was a good day. We had our class and band photo-taking. There are two types: formal and informal.
For our band photo, we will be wearing our band uniform this time round unlike last year. WOW! Let me tell you. Our band is very big after all the sec 1 joined us!
All of us are perspiring profusely after the photo-taking. We went up to the music room area to collect our bags and went home after that.
The moment I reached home, I decided to have a bath first before going to my band night practice starting from 5.30pm. Our instructor was some how late probably because something might have cropped up or what. He commented on our "overture number 1" and "the merry widow". There are good and bad news. Can you guess?
The good news is he said that our overture number definitely can make it.
BUT he said that our merry widow is a problem which will result us not to easily achieve a gold this year. How?! We still got THREE WEEKS to our SYF! I am so excited mann!!!

RE: BAND EXCHANGE CONCERT YESTERDAY!

It was our band exchange concert yesterday and we played "the merry widow". It was ok at the beginning but our section rush at the last part causing the "presto" part to become messy. We took lots of pictures yesterday in our band uniform and it was extremely fun!
