RE: BAND NIGHT PRACTICE, YESTERDAY
A set of timpani
NOTE: It's not about just pushing it up, not that simple! Did you notice there are only two wheels at the front and a base (no wheel) behind? YEAH RIGHT! In this case, you have to lift up the timpani a bit and push it up on the ramp with only two wheels supporting it! Now, you see how hard it is to push the timpani up on a ramp at this kind of situation.
Hey everybody! Just have my hair cut yesterday and it looks quite funny... the front part lahh.. the uncle cut so short like Aloysius.. Guess how's my chinese test?
Let me tell you... IT IS HARD!!!!
Miss Tan setted the paper in a way which is difficult.... no wander last year's students keep complaining about the difficulty of her tests. Miss Tan, don't set so hard next time lehh... I will fail de lehhs... ... ... Getting worried about my chinese now.... .... .... My English might also be in the soup because Ms Lee told us that many of us did not make it. Again, my comprehension is weak... My studies are declining sooner or later. I need tuition/remedial le!!!
And yeah, our band is really working hard on our SYF... Mr Er, our instructor said that we are PRETTY ready for SYF. My mind was questioning me whether we could obtain a GOLD? But he have not finish his sentence yet:"BUT! You guys cannot dream of GOLD anymore..."
This is because our Overture Number 1 is gonna be in deep water... OUR INTONATION IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE!! How sia? Left about 1 month only lehh!!! Not much time left.By the way, share a few things with you guys during my NIGHT band practice yesterday. I almost dropped the smallest timpani when I was pushing it up on the ramp from the Second Floor to the Music Room in a fast pace. Then who knows? The timpani ALMOST TOPPLE halfway through the ramp! IT WAS KINDA 15 degrees more to the floor!!! Fortunately, I managed to use all my strength to control before it really touched the floor with a loud thud. I heaved a sigh of relief. I WILL NEVER CARRY A TIMPANI ON A RAMP AGAIN! NOT IN MY LIFE ANYMORE!!It's utterly dangerous! Hey guys! Don't think that a small timpani is not heavy when you push it up on the ramp! It requires lots of strength! If the timpani really dropped, I think I could have run 30 rounds! That's what my friends said...
